Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced PCU setting
Monitor and manage patients with cardiac conditions, nephrology issues, strokes, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring
Titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications as ordered
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, techs, and physicians
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support team needs
Demonstrate critical thinking, positive attitude, and strong communication in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

Active RN license - we'll help with compact if needed!
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or acute care experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation
Driver's license required to verify distance (50-mile radius rule applies)

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in titrating and managing intravenous drips
Proficient in cardiac monitoring and interpreting telemetry
Comfortable with high-acuity patients and rapid changes
Excellent problem-solving and teamwork abilities
