Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, renal, and more
Float across multiple units within Zone 1 (Colorado Springs area) as needed, ensuring safe staffing
Monitor telemetry and titrate heparin drips according to protocols
Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 based on acuity
Collaborate with charge nurses and support staff to deliver high-quality care
Adapt quickly to different facility environments and patient populations

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience required
Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from AHA
Prior neuro experience preferred
Ability to float within a 60-mile radius across multiple facilities
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of medical-surgical and telemetry nursing
Proficiency in cardiac, neuro, oncology, and general medical care
Skill in heparin drip titration and patient assessment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Comfort with rapid assignment changes and Just-In-Time scheduling
