Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (occasional weekends as needed)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive clinical social work services to patients and families in a hospital setting
Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop discharge plans
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Provide crisis intervention and support for patients undergoing involuntary psychiatric holds (5150)
Advocate for patient rights and access to community resources

Qualifications

Active California LCSW license required
Current BLS certification
Must be 5150 certified in California (or able to obtain prior to start)
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred

Education

Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of California mental health laws and 5150 procedures
Strong assessment and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Familiarity with community resources and discharge planning
