Hospice Registered Nurse

Location: Marshall, Michigan

Start Date: 07-13-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, plus on-call one week per month including evenings and weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patients and administer medications to ensure comfort and alleviate suffering
Develop and update customized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and social workers
Educate family caregivers on disease progression and medication management
Respond quickly to sudden changes in a patient's condition to provide crisis support
Maintain accurate patient medical records and facilitate care team communication
Offer compassionate companionship, grief counseling, and post-mortem support to families

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of hospice experience required
Active Michigan RN license or compact license
Ability to manage pain and symptoms effectively
Strong communication and documentation skills
