Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable shifts primarily 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call requirements one night every 6 weeks and weekend/holiday call

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery, assessing vital signs and managing pain
Respond to emergencies and stabilize patients as needed
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth patient transitions and outcomes
Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery
Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact state (NLC)
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of ED or ICU experience
Experience with Epic EMR preferred
Ability to work variable shifts including on-call and weekends

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to handle fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Knowledge of PACU and recovery care protocols
