Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and treat patients with respiratory disorders
Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and ventilator support
Monitor patient response to treatments and adjust care plans
Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff for optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment use

Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Utah
Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care settings
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in mechanical ventilation and non-invasive ventilation
Knowledge of pulmonary physiology and pharmacology
Ability to perform arterial blood gas analysis
Experience with patient assessment and critical thinking
Familiarity with electronic medical records
