Shift Type: Day shift 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or Night shift 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend, holiday negotiable

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients with diverse diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, and post-operative care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Monitor telemetry and titrate drips as needed (infrequently)
Float to other departments as a helping hand when cross-trained
Manage patient assignments of up to 4-5 patients on days and 5 on nights

Qualifications

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Experience in medical-surgical nursing
Active RN license (OR or eligible for 90-day emergency license)

Knowledge & Skills

General medical-surgical nursing skills
Ability to care for pediatric patients as needed
Telemetry monitoring interpretation
Titration of Heparin and Bumex drips
