Location: Lakewood, Colorado

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable start times (7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM) primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM; on-call 1 night every 6 weeks

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery
Monitor vital signs, manage pain, and assess patient condition in Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes
Care for a diverse case mix including ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI
Recover ICU-level patients in the PACU setting as needed
Participate in on-call rotation to support after-hours surgical needs

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA)
Minimum 2 years of recent PACU, ED, or ICU experience
Comfortable with Epic EMR
Ability to float to other units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and strip reading
Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge of pain management and recovery protocols
