Location: Baudette, Minnesota

Start Date: 06-29-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM days and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM nights, every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medsurg and Emergency Department patients
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients seamlessly
Titrate medications including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed
Start IVs, manage PICC/Port lines, and perform EKGs
Participate in codes: cardiorespiratory, stroke, and sepsis
Respond to traumas and coordinate with flight transport when needed
Float between Medsurg and ER to ensure optimal patient coverage
Work independently with minimal staff and communicate directly with hospitalists

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Proven Emergency Department experience is a must
Ability to work independently and handle high-acuity patients
Comfortable with minimal staffing and on-call responsibilities
Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred

Knowledge & Skills

IV insertion and PICC/Port care
Code response and trauma resuscitation
Titrating drips and managing critical medications
Telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Effective communication with interdisciplinary team
Adaptability to fast-paced, changing environment
