Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a mixed PCU/Med Surg unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for side effects
Monitor hemodynamic status and manage drips like heparin and cardizem
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Perform hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Float to other Med Surg and PCU units as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Med Surg experience
Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
ACLS and BLS certifications required
EPIC experience preferred but not required
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Competent in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000)
Experience with telemetry monitoring
Knowledge of oncology patient care and chemotherapy administration
Familiarity with EPIC EMR
Strong teamwork and communication skills
