Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple medical-surgical and telemetry units
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and titrate heparin drips as needed
• Float seamlessly between facilities within Zone 1 (Colorado Springs area) to support staffing needs
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to manage diverse diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and more
• Adapt quickly to varying unit environments and patient acuity levels
• Mentor and support nursing assistants to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
• Active and unrestricted RN license in Colorado or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Prior neuro experience strongly preferred
• Ability to float within a 60-mile radius across multiple facilities
• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts and scheduled weekends/holidays

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfort with floating to various units and adapting to change
• Organizational skills to manage a 1:5-6 patient assignment
• Dedication to patient safety and evidence-based practice
