Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; weekend rotation required (2 full weekends per month)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations for acute care patients in a Level III trauma center
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore function and mobility
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PTAs, OTs, and physicians
Provide patient education and discharge planning for continued recovery
Document patient progress accurately in Meditech EMR
Precept new staff or students as needed to support team growth

Qualifications

Active Texas Physical Therapy license (or compact eligible)
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Experience in acute care, orthopedics, or neuro preferred
Comfortable using Meditech EMR
Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 1 evaluation per hour or 10 treatments per 8-hour shift

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in acute care rehabilitation for telemetry, ortho, surgical, critical care, neuro, and oncology patients
Proficiency in patient assessment, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Time management to meet productivity expectations
Adaptability to cover minimal shifts at College Station hospital if needed
