Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Location: Lincoln, NE

Start Date: 08-03-2026

End Date: 11-02-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM; rotating weekday call 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM (2 nights); every other weekend call from Friday 7:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform a wide variety of ultrasound exams including general, breast, OB/GYN, and NICU imaging
Assist with breast biopsies, interventional radiology procedures, and OR cases
Conduct Doppler studies and neonatal head, kidney, and spine imaging
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with radiologists and providers
Transport patients to other modalities when volumes are low
Adhere to department protocols and ensure high-quality patient care

Qualifications

Active ARDMS certification in Abdomen and/or OB/GYN (required)
Current BLS certification
Experience in breast imaging and NICU imaging is essential
Proficiency with EPIC and McKesson PACS
Valid driver's license (required to verify distance from facility)
Ability to work call shifts including nights and weekends

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics and instrumentation
Excellent patient care and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
Familiarity with Siemens ultrasound equipment preferred
