Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, self-scheduling, weekends and holidays as required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional care to patients with diagnoses including post-op recovery, sepsis, pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, and infections
Float to telemetry units as needed, monitoring cardiac rhythms and titrating heparin drips
Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes using strict sterile technique
Collaborate with a dedicated team including charge nurses and resource RNs in a new, growing unit
Participate in SIMs lab skills validation to ensure competency in critical procedures

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Minimum 1 year of recent med/surg and telemetry experience in a Level 1 trauma center
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract start
Own vehicle required for travel
Natural hair color and no facial piercings per facility policy

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Skilled in sterile technique for Foley and central line dressing changes
Experience with heparin titration and managing medical-surgical drips
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
