Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend required, self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients in a combined PCU/Med Surg unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions, ensuring patient safety
Titrate IV drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin as ordered
Perform hourly rounding, assessments, and patient education
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to other PCU and Med Surg units as needed to support team coverage

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or a compact state
Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
Minimum 1 year of PCU and oncology nursing experience
BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
First-time travelers welcome
Valid driver's license for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC electronic medical records
Skilled in chemotherapy administration and IV drip titration
Strong critical thinking and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring (preferred but can train)
