Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights), every other weekend, minimum 2 holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to a diverse PCU patient population including cardiac, stroke, and renal cases
Titrate and manage critical drips like Heparin, Nitro, and Amiodarone while monitoring telemetry strips
Collaborate with charge nurses and techs to maintain safe 1:4-5 ratios
Utilize arterial lines and high-flow oxygen equipment with confidence
Adapt quickly to floating assignments in MedSurg or ICU as needed
Champion patient experience by focusing on responsiveness and communication

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Proven competency in arterial lines and telemetry interpretation
Comfortable titrating multiple drips independently
Flexible team player willing to receive feedback and grow

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills
Proficiency in managing high-flow oxygen and overhead lifts
Excellent communication and cultural competence with Hispanic and Somalian populations
