Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, with rotating days including weekends and holidays as required. Schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple MS-Tele units
• Float within Zone 1 facilities including Penrose Hospital, St. Francis, and others up to 60 miles from Colorado Springs
• Titrate heparin drips and manage patients with cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and other conditions
• Step into charge nurse role when needed, supporting the team and ensuring safe patient assignments
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care
• Adapt to different units and patient populations, ensuring continuity of care and flexibility

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience required
• Active RN license in Colorado or compact license (NLC)
• Willingness to float within a 60-mile radius and work at any designated facility
• Prior neuro experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to work 36 hours per week including weekends and holidays as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with heparin titration and telemetry monitoring
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for diverse patient populations
• Ability to float between different units and adapt quickly
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
