Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology, PCU, and med/surg patients in a mixed unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for adverse reactions
Titrate drips like heparin and cardizem as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to med/surg and other PCU units as needed, always at the same level of care
Perform hourly rounding and uphold patient experience standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, oncology, and med/surg experience
First-time travelers welcome!
Chemotherapy certification required (ONS/ONCC)
ACLS and BLS certification required
Driver's license required at submittal (for radius check)

Education

Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for a fast-paced PCU environment
Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented unit
Comfortable with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (training available on-site)
Dedication to providing culturally competent care to diverse patient populations
