Location: Omaha, NE

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM; every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced PCU unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms, titrate drips (Cardizem, beta-blockers, seizure medications)
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform thorough assessments, document accurately, and communicate effectively
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed
Maintain a positive attitude and strong critical thinking skills to handle diverse diagnoses including cardiac, nephrology, strokes, and diabetes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum of 1 year recent PCU or stepdown experience
Positive attitude, strong communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac monitoring and drip titration
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in electronic health records and documentation
