Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in PCU/IMC float pool across multiple facilities within Zone 1
• Manage and titrate cardiac drips (Dopamine, Dobutamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin) as well as insulin and Ativan drips
• Monitor patients with cardiac, neuro, oncology, renal, orthopedic, and post-surgical conditions
• Float between Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, and other facilities within a 60-mile radius of Colorado Springs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to different unit environments and patient acuity levels

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/IMC experience required
• Current RN license in Colorado or compact state (must obtain CO license if not compact)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with cardiac drips, insulin management, and heparin titration
• Willingness to float across multiple facilities within Zone 1 (60-mile radius)
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in managing cardiac drips including Dopamine, Dobutamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Heparin
• Experience with insulin and Ativan infusions
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for PCU/IMC patient population
• Comfortable with titrating drips and managing patient acuity levels
• Neuro experience and Epic EHR experience preferred
