Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts (7a-7p, 7a-3p, 3p-7p, 7p-11p, 11p-7a, 7p-7a), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a mixed PCU/MedSurg unit
Monitor hemodynamic status and titrate drips as needed
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex patient needs
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to other PCU and MedSurg units as assigned
Ensure patient safety and adhere to unit protocols

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
Clean driving record (driver's license required for radius check)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in chemotherapy administration and management
Comfortable with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz)
Knowledge of common drips: heparin, cardizem, protonix
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, diverse patient population
