Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), with additional 4-hour and 8-hour shifts; every other weekend; self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse population of PCU, oncology, and med-surg patients
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions, ensuring patient safety
Titrate drips such as heparin and cardizem as ordered
Collaborate with charge nurses, nursing assistants, and interdisciplinary team members
Utilize EPIC electronic health record for accurate documentation
Float to med-surg and PCU units as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, oncology, or med-surg nursing experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required
EPIC experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz, etc.)
Ability to administer chemotherapy safely
Competence in managing ventilated patients (training available)
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
EPIC EMR proficiency
