Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to telemetry and medical-surgical patients across multiple units, including CV Tele, Neuro Tele, and MedSurg
Titrate cardiac drips such as Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, and Dobutamine as needed
Interpret EKGs and monitor central telemetry for arrhythmias
Float between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses, adapting quickly to different unit environments
Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and clinical supervisors to ensure safe patient ratios
Pass a dysrhythmia exam and a simulation lab to demonstrate clinical competency

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry or med-surg experience
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer
Willingness to float to various units and campuses
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac drip titration (Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine)
EKG interpretation and central telemetry monitoring
Experience with post-cath lab, post-vascular, and neuro surgical patients
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
