Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Bakersfield, CA

Start Date: 06-15-2026

End Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, with rotating on-call after 4:30 PM weekdays and rotating weekend call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform cardiac studies, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying exams
Operate GE imaging equipment and utilize Radnet and Merge Unity systems
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team for accurate diagnoses
Maintain high standards of patient care and safety
Float to Mercy Downtown location as required (approximately 6.5 miles away)

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Active California Nuclear Medicine Technologist License (CA NMTL)
Experience with GE cameras and Radnet/Merge Unity preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac imaging, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying
Skilled in Radnet and Merge Unity EMR/PACS systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
IV start experience preferred but not required
