Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to oncology and telemetry patients on a 32-bed acute unit
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret EKG rhythms effectively
• Administer chemotherapy and manage treatment side effects with expertise
• Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
• Perform skills such as Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes maintaining sterile field
• Float to other MedSurg/Tele units as needed to support patient care

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in Arizona (or compact state)
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
• Chemotherapy certification strongly preferred (chemo certified a plus)
• Must pass the DYS exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to commute within 50-mile radius
• Comfortable with sterile field techniques and SIMs lab pass/fail assessments
• Natural hair color and no facial piercings; men must be clean-shaven for fit test

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Cerner EMR system
• Strong telemetry and EKG interpretation skills
• Knowledge of oncology nursing and chemotherapy administration
• Familiarity with Phillips telemetry monitoring
• Understanding of sterile field maintenance and infection control
• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
