Location: Bakersfield, CA

Start Date: 06-15-2026

End Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday with rotating call after 4:30 PM and rotating weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures including cardiac, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying studies
Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging exams
Operate and maintain GE imaging equipment
Float to Mercy Downtown location as needed (approximately 6.5 miles away)
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team for accurate diagnosis
Adhere to regulatory and safety standards

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Current BLS certification
Active California Nuclear Medicine Technology License (CA NMTL)
Ability to work rotating call and weekends

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in nuclear medicine imaging techniques including SPECT and cardiac studies
Knowledge of radiation safety and patient care protocols
Experience with Radnet and Merge Unity PACS systems
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and manage patient flow
