Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in a fast-paced Medical-Surgical and Telemetry float pool across multiple facilities
• Float across Zone 1 facilities including Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More
• Manage diverse patient populations including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, renal, bariatrics, and more
• Titrate heparin drips as needed and monitor telemetry
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to different unit environments and patient acuities

Qualifications

• Active Colorado RN license or compact license (must obtain CO license if not compact)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience required
• Neuro experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to float to multiple facilities within a 60-mile radius of Colorado Springs
• Comfortable with flexible scheduling and floating to different units

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical skills in Med-Surg and Telemetry nursing
• Proficiency in titrating heparin and managing telemetry patients
• Excellent adaptability and communication skills for floating across units
• Knowledge of cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, and general medical diagnoses
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
