Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a cardiopulmonary telemetry and neuro unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKGs to detect changes
Assess and manage neurological patients including those with CVAs and other conditions
Collaborate with hospitalists and intensivists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Lead charge nurse duties as assigned, coordinating patient flow and team activities
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry and neuro nursing experience (within the past 6 months)
Active RN license in Arizona or compact license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Must pass Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam (maximum 2 attempts)
Ability to interpret EKGs and manage central telemetry monitoring

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry skills
Expertise in neuro assessment and care of stroke patients
Proficiency with high-flow oxygen devices and vents (Airvo)
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, 26-bed unit
