Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and PCU patients, managing complex diagnoses and treatments
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for side effects, ensuring patient safety and comfort
Monitor and titrate intravenous medications including heparin, cardizem, and protonix
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, maintaining high standards of care
Participate in hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives to enhance satisfaction

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, Med/Surg, or Oncology experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
EPIC experience preferred
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to titrate drips and manage cardiac monitoring
Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and oncology care
Effective communication and teamwork
Adaptability to patient population diversity
Proficiency in EPIC EMR
