Location: Kearney, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients recovering from total knee, hip, ankle, and shoulder replacements, as well as spine surgeries
Administer pain medications, antibiotics, and blood products as ordered
Monitor vital signs and assess patients for complications
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes
Educate patients and families on post-operative recovery and discharge plans

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS certification required
Minimum of 1 year of recent Med Surg or Ortho experience preferred
Ability to float to MedSurg, Rehab, or PCU as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Team-oriented and ready to help teammates
Flexible and adaptable to changing patient needs
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Willingness to learn and take ownership within the department
