Shift Type: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), schedule varies, must work every other weekend and holidays as required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to a diverse medical/telemetry population including CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD patients
Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry strips, and respond to changes in patient condition
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and nursing standards
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators to ensure optimal outcomes
Float to all med/surg units as needed, ensuring seamless care across the facility
Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the electronic health record

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
Great communication and time management skills
Ability to read telemetry strips and manage cardiac monitoring
Experience in med/surg telemetry preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of common medical diagnoses such as CHF, diabetes, PNA, and CKD
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patients and priorities
