Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts including 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, and other combinations; every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to oncology and trauma patients in a mixed PCU/MedSurg unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor titratable drips like Cardizem and insulin
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed to support patient care
Uphold patient experience standards with hourly rounding and compassionate communication

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent PCU or Oncology nursing experience
First-time travelers welcome
Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required at submission
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Valid driver's license (required at submittal for radius check)
Willingness to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation
EPIC experience preferred but not mandatory

Knowledge & Skills

Aptitude for PCU, Oncology, and MedSurg patient care
Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and IV pump use (Alaris)
Competency in ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment
