Physical Therapist - Acute Care
Location: Bryan, Texas
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 09-28-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with weekend rotation (2 weekends per month) and holiday coverage
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations on acute care patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists for coordinated care
- Document patient progress accurately in Meditech EMR
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety
- Precept new staff and students as needed by the unit
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Physical Therapist license in good standing
- Acute care experience preferred, but new grads considered
- Ability to manage a caseload of 10+ patients per day
- Must not have been employed by CommonSpirit (CHI/Dignity) in the past year
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Meditech EMR
- Strong clinical reasoning and time management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of level III trauma center patient populations
