Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic imaging
• Explain imaging procedures to patients, answer questions, and ensure their comfort
• Operate SPECT/CT scanners to create detailed images of organs and tissues
• Process computer-generated images of the brain, thyroid, bone, heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver for physician interpretation
• Maintain detailed records of radiopharmaceutical usage and procedures performed
• Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff from unnecessary exposure
• Stay current with advances and innovations in nuclear medicine technology

Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire license and certification to practice nuclear medicine
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification required
• At least 1 year of experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical rotations are welcome
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform tasks involving standing, walking, bending, and reaching

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in operating nuclear medicine equipment and ensuring radiation safety
• Excellent technical and computer skills, including experience with Radiant Epic Access
• Strong attention to detail for accurate image processing and record keeping
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
• Critical thinking and analytical skills to troubleshoot and optimize imaging studies
