Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM; every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care to patients with cardiac and vascular conditions
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips for arrhythmias and changes
Titrate intravenous drips including amio, nitro, nicardipine, and epi
Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, and interdisciplinary team
Manage post-surgical cardiac patients with a 1:3 ratio in first 24 hours
Administer medications and coordinate patient care plans
Float to units of same or lower acuity as needed

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted RN license in Nebraska
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiovascular or intermediate care
Valid driver's license to verify distance from facility
Willingness to adhere to facility policies including artificial nail prohibition

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in titrating and managing cardiac drips
Telemetry interpretation and rhythm recognition
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking
Knowledge of cardiac medications and interventions
Effective communication and teamwork
