Location: Lakewood, Colorado

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Primarily 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, variable start times (0730, 0800, 0900, 1000, 1100), with on-call rotation 1 night every 6 weeks

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia in a 22-bed Phase 1 and Phase 2 PACU
Administer medications, manage pain, and provide post-operative care
Collaborate with surgical teams and assist with patient education
Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
Float to support other units as needed and assist with lunch relief

Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of recent ED or ICU experience preferred
Comfortable working with ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI cases
Must live outside the 60-mile radius or be willing to relocate for the assignment

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Epic EMR for charting and documentation
Strong cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills
IV insertion, medication administration, and pain management techniques
Critical thinking and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
