Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, weekend rotation every 4 of 8 weeks, holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide skilled nursing care to neuro telemetry patients
Titrate intravenous drips including Amio, Cardizem, and Insulin
Interpret cardiac rhythms and EKGs via central monitoring
Perform Foley catheter insertions and central line dressing changes while maintaining sterile field
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to manage conditions like CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, and encephalopathy
Conduct bedside reports and ensure safe handoffs

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona (or compact state)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience in telemetry or neuro
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Level 1 trauma experience is a must
Competency in sterile technique for line changes and catheter insertion

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
Experience with Cerner EMR
Ability to manage heparin, Amio, Cardizem, and other titratable drips
Knowledge of neuro patient populations and common diagnoses
