Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment including linear accelerators and CT simulators
- Monitor patients for reactions and provide supportive care during treatments
- Collaborate with the oncology team to ensure accurate treatment delivery
Qualifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiation Therapy
- Valid state license as a Radiation Therapist (Nebraska licensure)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in radiation therapy preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient and team interactions
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and treatment planning systems
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
