Location: Omaha, NE

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
Titrate cardiac drips including heparin, insulin, and cardizem
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case management, and social work
Perform hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety
Float to Med/Surg and PCU units as needed within same level of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state required
Minimum 1 year of PCU/MedSurg/Oncology experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification required (must obtain if not current)
Chemotherapy certification required
EPIC experience preferred; first-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Oncology nursing knowledge including chemotherapy administration
PCU/MedSurg patient care and monitoring
Cardiac drip titration (insulin, cardizem, heparin)
Hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000)
Ventilator management with training available
EPIC EMR proficiency
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Commitment to patient-centered care and diversity
