Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology, PCU, and med/surg patients in a mixed acuity unit
Monitor and titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem as needed
Administer chemotherapy (preferred certification) and manage complex patient diagnoses
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, ensuring continuity of care
Perform hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in oncology, PCU, or med/surg
First-time travelers welcome to apply
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
ACLS, BLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required
Driver's license required at submittal for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps
Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000) - can train
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, mixed acuity environment
Knowledge of oncology patient populations and trauma PCU care
