Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Monitor and titrate drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin
Administer chemotherapy and manage side effects
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed
Perform hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation

Qualifications

1 year of recent PCU, MedSurg, or Oncology experience required
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
First-time travelers welcome
Must pass an open-book exam during orientation with 90% or higher
Driver's license required at submittal

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy certification and ONS/ONCC required
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Experience with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000) preferred, training available
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to care for a diverse patient population with respect and empathy
