Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule), rotating holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult PCU patients including cardiac, stroke, and mixed medical-surgical cases
Titrate drips such as Heparin, octreotide, and insulin with precision
Interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to ensure safe, efficient unit flow
Float to Med/Surg, ICU, or ED as needed based on your skills and patient needs
Participate in a high-flow unit with frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges, working as a team to overcome challenges

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of start
Driver's license required at submittal (used to verify 50-mile radius rule)
Minimum 1 year of PCU or similar experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation
Must not be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in drip titration and telemetry interpretation
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Positive attitude and willingness to adapt to floating assignments
