Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-15-2026

End Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM; one weekend every third weekend with Monday/Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy evaluations and treatments for acute inpatient patients covering Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER units
Treat diverse diagnoses including general deconditioning, total knee/hip arthroplasty, spinal surgeries, and orthopedic conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including rehab services and nursing to optimize patient outcomes
Document patient progress and adjust care plans as needed to ensure functional recovery

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapist license required
Current BLS certification
Minimum 1 year of acute inpatient PT experience required
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced hospital environment

Knowledge & Skills

Acute inpatient rehabilitation techniques
Orthopedic and neurologic patient management
Medical/surgical patient care
Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills
