Location: Omaha, NE

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population including oncology and trauma patients in a fast-paced PCU/MedSurg unit
Monitor and titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation
Administer chemotherapy (certified preferred) and other medications as ordered
Float to MedSurg and PCU units as needed to support staffing
Participate in hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and satisfaction

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of experience in PCU, Oncology, or MedSurg
First-time travelers welcome
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification required
Chemotherapy certification preferred
Driver's license required at time of submittal
EPIC experience preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to manage multiple patients with varying acuity levels
Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing principles
Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator care
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability to a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable environment
