Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology (IR)

Location: Bismarck, ND

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts as required; typical schedule includes 2x10hr (0600-1630) and 2x8hr (0700-1530) shifts, with on-call rotations for weeknights (1-2 per week) and weekends (every third). Scheduling posted 17 days in advance for 6-week blocks.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Administer conscious sedation and monitor patients closely during interventional radiology procedures.
Manage patient care pre, intra, and post-procedure including charting and circulating.
Assist with a wide range of interventional procedures such as stroke thrombectomy, embolizations, biopsies, and drain insertions.
Collaborate with the IR team to ensure seamless patient outcomes.
Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
Respond to on-call emergencies within 30 minutes.

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state.
BLS and ACLS certifications (must be in hand before start).
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or critical care with moderate sedation.
Experience with EPIC and Philips Xper or Siemens C-Arm preferred.
Team player with strong communication skills and willingness to help.

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in conscious sedation administration and monitoring.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of cases.
Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and equipment.
