Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM / 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory cases
Titrate and manage cardiac drips, insulin, sedation, and other critical medications
Interpret telemetry strips and monitor patients using GE monitors
Manage ventilators and respiratory equipment from nasal cannula to vents
Collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team including nurse aides and techs
Float to PCU and MedSurg units as needed, maintaining appropriate patient ratios

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of ICU experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation
Driver's license required for verification of 50-mile radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in ICU nursing and critical care
Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and strip documentation
Skilled in drip titration and ventilator management
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
