Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates in the Special Care Nursery (Level 2) and postpartum mothers and babies.
Attend deliveries as the baby nurse, ensuring immediate assessment and stabilization.
Manage and administer medications, including titratable drips like D5W and TPN.
Perform IV start and maintenance, assist with umbilical line placement, and support Bubble CPAP and HiFlow therapy.
Monitor and assess newborn conditions, including phototherapy, respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, and withdrawal symptoms.
Flex between SCN and postpartum assignments as needed, ensuring safe patient ratios.

Qualifications

Active RN license in Washington state
Current BLS (AHA) certification
Current NRP certification
Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU Level 2 and postpartum nursing
Proven skills in attending deliveries as the baby nurse
Experience with IV start and maintenance, Bubble CPAP, HiFlow, and umbilical line placement
Ability to titrate drips and manage complex neonatal cases

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for neonatal and postpartum care
Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency in electronic medical records
Knowledge of neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
