Location: Silverdale, Washington

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts; weekend rotation every other weekend (days: Sat-Sun, nights: Fri-Sat). Block scheduling available upon request.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $80 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a 34-bed Birthing Center
Attend deliveries independently and assist with cesarean sections as a circulating nurse
Monitor fetal heart rates using Centricity EFM system and titrate IV drips like Pitocin and Magnesium
Care for postpartum mothers and babies in couplet care, including transitioning newborns
Collaborate with a dedicated team including OBGYNs, neonatologists, and nurse practitioners
Float within the mother-baby unit as needed; no floating to NICU or other departments

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience required (1 year considered with multiple prior travel assignments)
Active RN license in Washington or compact state
Must be comfortable attending deliveries independently and circulating in c-sections
No first-time travelers accepted
Willingness to adapt to unit workflows, policies, and feedback

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in LDRP, postpartum, and mother/baby care
Advanced fetal heart monitoring skills (intermediate/advanced FHM preferred)
Experience with Centricity perinatal EFM system
Ability to titrate common drips: Magnesium, Pitocin, Insulin
Strong communication and teamwork skills
