Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling, every third weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate labor and delivery care to mothers and babies in a rural hospital setting
Monitor and titrate IV drips including Magnesium, Oxytocin, and other medications
Perform electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) using OB Trace Vue system
Support postpartum couplets with education and recovery care
Collaborate with a close-knit team for cesarean sections as the baby circulator
Float to med-surg or ED for sitting 1:1 with patients as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
Minimum 2 years of LDRP or labor and delivery experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Ability to pass fit testing for N95 respirator (facial hair must be removable)
Comfortable working independently in a rural setting with limited resources

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EFM interpretation and OB Trace Vue system
Skilled in titration of Pitocin, Magnesium, and other labor medications
Knowledge of AWHONN staffing guidelines for labor and postpartum
Experience with neonatal CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a small unit environment
