Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, days 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or nights 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care on a 19-bed Med/Surg unit
Manage a diverse patient population including CHF, diabetic complications, pneumonia, COPD, hip fractures, and post-surgical cases
Titrate drips such as Heparin and Bumex when needed
Collaborate with a dedicated team of CNAs, charge nurses, and house supervisors
Monitor telemetry strips with support from CCU staff
Float as a helping hand to other departments when cross-trained

Qualifications

Active RN license in Oregon or willingness to obtain a 90-day emergency license
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience preferred
Ability to care for general medical-surgical and general pediatric patients
Comfort with titratable drips (training available if needed)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficient in managing telemetry and interpreting strips
Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptable to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
